Questions and Answers
Q) How does PawPounders work?
A) Pawpounders is a doggy day care centre, offering dog training & agility or simply a place for your dog to spend his or her days in the company of other, social dogs. Your dog is not therefore left at home all day on their own. Basically, from 7:30am onwards, on your way to work you simply drop your dog off with us & we will excercise, socialise, train & entertain him/her until you collect them on your way home.
Q) Is it safe for my dog?
A) Absolutely. We carry out a 2 hour initial assesment of your dog to ensure they are social, non agressive and will interact suitably with the other dogs. We have an inner compound, with a 6 foot high secure fence and three secure outer areas where dogs are excercised under supervision. We are also fully insured & CRB checked.
Q) My dog is very small or young, will he/she be ok with the other dogs?
A) After the initial assesment, we see how your dog gets on with the others, and then group accordingly, by size, age or character. Essentially, we put your dog in his / her own class.
Q) How much does it cost?
A) Please see our Prices & Info page, but for 2-3 days per week, the cost is less than £1.40 per hour.
Q) Are the other dogs innoculated?
A) Yes. All dogs must have the relevant vaccines & innoculations. Proof of this MUST be provided before your dog induction.
Q) Can my dog be trained?
A) Yes. We carry out a variety of dog training sessions throughout the day as part of our daily routine. If you have any special requirements, please speak to Nick.
Q) What time do I need to pick my dog up?
A) We close at 6pm. Please be on time to pick your dog up. If you are late, we will unfortunately have to charge you for the staff costs of £5 for every 15 minutes you are late.
